1. Cleans housing units and properties of debris and carries away debris to curb or by truck.
2. Inspects all hallways and common places for adequate lighting, replacing bulbs and floodlights as necessary to ensure safety.
3. Mows lawns and maintains shrubbery and trees on agency grounds.
4. Digs holes and trenches to prepare for work to be done by other more skilled personnel.
5. Washes and waxes floors, cleans ceilings, kitchen cabinets, ranges, refrigerators and other surfaces in preparation of new occupancies.
6. Removes snow from properties and grounds by shoveling.
7. Lifts, loads and unloads heavy objects into and out of trucks.
8. Performs minor carpentry, drywall and painting repairs.
9. Assists contractors in gaining access to buildings and spaces in order to perform work.
10. Cleans and maintains storm and sanitary sewer systems.
11. Uses a variety of hand tools, electric powered tools and equipment, such as, vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, snow blowers, power lawn mowers, rakes, hedge clippers, picks, shovels, small tractors and other related tools.
12. In an emergency you may be called upon to aid in the repairs for after hour emergency calls.
13. Performs other related duties of the class or as required by immediate supervisor.
